Jnetics has recently produced a new video clip about familial Mediterranean fever (FMF), which is now available to be viewed on our website.
In the video Ariella Jackman tells her personal story of her journey to being diagnosed with FMF. She describes what it is like to live with FMF, how treatable it is once a correct diagnosis has been made, and how having a genetic test has made a huge difference to her life.
Ariella encourages people of Jewish ancestry, Ashkenazi and Sephardi, to be aware of Jewish genetic disorders like FMF, so that if symptoms do arise a diagnosis can be made quickly and accurately, through appropriate genetic testing.
